Historic Fort Ward Park is across the street where folks love to stroll or attend outdoor summer concerts. Being close to our nation’s capital and historic areas allows for riverboat rides on the Potomac, trips to museums, the National Arboretum, Mount Vernon, and many other activities. A dozen churches and reading rooms are within a 15-mile radius. Shopping centers are in any direction. In addition to outings, we have regular visits with pets that come to call, and a wide variety of volunteers who bring their talents to us with talks, concerts, lessons, and photos.
